Weekend escape to Massachusetts home of Cape Cod Islands

As soon as I arrived to see Kassi in Woods Hole, we went directly to the Beach!

My first time at a real light house! Loved it!

What is inside a light house I wonder

This is Dayna, a cute girl, recent high school runner, runs a fast mile. She talked her parents into having the pro runners stay at her house during the Falmouth Road Race. They let me spend a couple nights there as well which was awesome.

Dinner on the beach with our host family and friends.
They decorated a cake especially for the occasion.

Dayna, with her sister, and Kassi with Aheza another pro runner from Ethiopia.

The Host Family with Kassi and Aheza

This was the cutest little boat they had in their backyard that they were going to throw away...
I wanted to keep it. Too bad I had no way of taking it home.

Biking around Woods Hole, day before the race.

These girls are Kassi's runner friends that ran the mile in under 4:33 minutes. Amazing!

This is how fast the men ran the mile!! Sheesh!

Kassi, the day of the race.. ready to rock and roll!

The finish line with a huge American Flag waving over head.

The men's winner of the Falmouth Road Race... 19 year old Ethiopian he just won $10,000.
It pays to be fast!

Kassi coming in 9th place for the American Women, she beat her personal best by 15 seconds, and won about $350. Wahoo!

Kassi and her Agent Bobby.

You are your sister and both VERY pretty. Haha. I gotta keep the tradition alive Julie... I always gotta say that you're pretty. Really though, all jokes aside, you are stunning. You both are, and I am very jealous that you are going to see a broadway play on Sunday. I will live vicariously through you. Let me know all about it when you get home. Thanks again for all you do for the office!! You're pretty.

It is just like you to drop everything to see your family. I love that and I'm sure Kass did too.

Ju- I commented on your post below, and I must apologize- it's a NOVEL! Sorry. I just had a lot to say. And of course, just one more thing... so I decided to comment on a separate post.

Look at you, you are a blogging queen! There is something about being married that gives most everyone an itch to blog- I don't know what it is, but it happens, and it's happened to you! And, I LOVE it!

I bet Kass loved having you there for her race! You are such a good sis!

Ok, I've said enough. I am so much like my mom! I can talk and talk and talk forever! I know you already know that about me (and my mom). :) Well, I love you, and I'm excited for you to be home! HURRY ALREADY! I want to play! :)
